Infant Jesus Polytechnic College was established by the Infant Jesus Educational and Charitable Trust, K.Kallikudi, Ramjee Nagar(P.O), Tiruchirappalli- 620 009, with the permission of the Government of TamilNadu as per G.O.M.S. No.27231/J2/97. Philanthropist, Dr.S.James started this trust which is dedicated to the cause of promoting technical education as part of its socio-economic and eradication of unemployment among rural villagers, embarked upon to start a Polytechnic Vollege and selected the economically and educationally backward village of K.Kallikudi in Manikandam Panchayat Union In Tiruchirappalli District and established the Infant Jesus Polytechnic College in the year 1998,The Institution is situated at a distance of 7 Kms from Tiruchirappalli on the pivotal location of Tiruchirappalli – Manapparai National Highways Road. The Polytechnic College is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and functions under the Administrative control of the Director of Technical Education , Guindy, Chennai.
